HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Mr. SuzerSpace and I keep it very low key for the holidays. We don’t travel, and we don’t have extended family to shop for, so as it becomes “crunch time” for others, we just sit back and enjoy the sights.

After a beautiful (but brisk) walk in nice shopping area, we came back today to enjoy some old movies (for him) and some crafting (for me).

And I thought I’d share this Thank You card, because come tomorrow afternoon, you may need it.

This project is super easy to make, and I’m providing the files to make it two ways – one as a printable, meaning you just take the file, load your printer with some nice 8.5 x 11 size card stock, and print it out. You get two on a page, so you just need to cut in half, fold in the other half and find some A2 envelopes and you are all set.

If you happen to have a cutting machine (or received one as a gift) I’m including the files saved as a PNG, JPEG, SVG and DXF file. Most of the cutting machines today can use at least one of these files. If you need a refresher course on how to use a DXF file, check out this post.

The word “thanks” is pretty small, so it can be cut from just a scrap of paper. That makes it easy to cut a bunch of cards of different colors without breaking the bank.

Because it is small, you’ll need to weed it carefully. Go slow, and peel it very carefully off the mat so it doesn’t tear.

And here’s a cool thing I recently found – there’s a little gizmo called the Xyron sticker maker that will turn small items into adhesive stickers.

You drop the paper cutout into the top of the X –

And then pull the paper at the bottom to apply adhesive on the back

Then you tear off that tape and you have an instant sticker.

Peel off the protective covering and carefully remove it from the backer and affix it to a piece of card stock. And then you have an instant Thank You card.

Pin this for after the holidays when you have a stack of cards to make.
